The trophy has arrived!

Today the mailman delivered a special box containing the most beautiful trophy we have ever seen!

Thank you to everyone in this project for making this possible!  Our love for Schoolovision already was VERY BIG, now it is even BIGGER !

        Here we are! Excited to share our entry for the fourth time with this enormous and precious family of Schoolovision.

         We asked you a RIDDLE full of joy,love and affectionate last year and you all answered back with the same feelings.
     
        And this year we are asking a question 'WHAT CHANGES? 'which  shows how beautiful the life is without prejudice, borders, discrimination and hostility. We should remember that all colors are beautiful, all regions are beautiful, all peoples are beautiful... And life is so COLORFUL! If we teach everybody that life is worth living, we can TURN THIS WORLD INTO A PALACE FOR CHILDREN!

Belgium - Jong

Hi all of you music lovers,

The 59 final year pupils of Qworzó - Merksplas - Belgium are very proud to present you the Belgian entry for Schoolovision 2019.

Last year the Schoolovision project celebrated its 10th anniversary.  Since we didn't participate in the project the first year this is our Schoolovision anniversary and we wanted to make it a special edition. 

For the first time in our history we got the chance to work with a real artist.  Singer/songwriter Metejoor and our children worked together writing our own song, practised singing it and helped us with the recording in a real studio! 

Our song - Jong - is a real party song with a message for all young people: believe in yourself and do what you like!

This year, we worked on Africa, and we wanted to sing a song about Aného, a young african boy looking for some water for his family and animals.
We learnt this song with kids from our school who can't sing like you and me and have to use signs ... so we also learnt how to sign this song.

The Åland Islands - Superheroes

The pupils in Vikingaåsens skola 5th grade proudly present their entry to Schoolovision 2019: "Superheroes”.

The music to our song was composed especially for this occasion by Fredrik Erlandsson. The lyrics were influenced by all the pupils in 5th grade.

The important message of the song is that we all are superheroes in different ways, whether it’s in helping a friend or taking care of the environment.

We live in the Åland Islands, a beautiful archipelago situated midway between Sweden and Finland. Åland is an autonomous, demilitarized (no military allowed) and Swedish-speaking region in Finland. Åland has approx. 29 700 inhabitants, and almost 12 000 of them live in the only town, Mariehamn. Åland has its very own flag.

We hope you’ll enjoy watching our video as much as we enjoyed making it!

Serbia - You will find your goal

Hello to everyone from Serbia!
This year, we decided to present our song " You will find your goal" in some other way.
The students played but, this time, with their bodies.
Is there a more perfect instrument? In the same time you practice it, you feel the rhythm, feel joy and it's always fun :)
We spent wonderful time together, both students and teachers, so you can join us and try.

The creators of the lyrics are students of the 5th and 6th grade. Our teacher Milan Zlatkovic wrote the music, like always :)

Hi from 7th grade Namsos Norway, we are finally done with our contribution for this year Schoolovision. Our song is about taking care of our planet.
It has been a lot of hard work, but we have enjoyed every content of it, from writing the song, making the video, and recording.

Poland - Krajka

Bosnia and Herzegovina - Djeca su ukras svijeta

This song is originally called "Deca su ukras sveta" and it's about children who make our world more beautiful. It celebrates childhood, and this is what we love the most because our children are 3-6 years old.
The children are the stars, but the song is also about love and spring. We planted some flowers to share our love to nature, our country.
Also, the children were wearing regional costumes to show our appreciation of heritage. They were wearing daisies costumes to show the connection to the song not only with words, our kindergarten is called "Daisy" :).
This video-making was a real challenge with so young participants.

Spain - Vivir (To live) - STOP BULLYING

Hello everyone. 

Our School CEIP Valsequillo has the honor to take part and be able to represent Spain in the Schoolvision project. Our song for 2019, is “To Live” by Rozalén ft Estopa. 

Our main goal this year is to be aware of one of the major problems, bullying, which occurs nowadays in our classrooms, and occasionally is moved into their homes through cyberbullying. 

All throughout our song, we can see a boy that is humiliated and treated badly by his classmates, who disrespect him.  However, this situation completely changes to a happy ending.  Are you ready to watch it? Let´s watch it! 

 A whole year of effort, commitment and collaboration has given us this wonderful result. For this reason, we want to say thank you to all the people who in one way or another have made this wonderful experience real. 

Enjoy it and reflect upon it because as our song affirms, “Everyone deserves to be Happy”

Malta - Follow the Way

Chinto, a pirate from China, gets shipwrecked on the shores of Okinawa. Being stranded, alone and hungry on the beach, he steals crops from the nearby fields to survive. The peasants of the area report the incident to the king of the island, Sho Ko, who sends his best warrior, Matsumura, to arrest the pirate. An epic battle between the two ensues, but none comes out victorious. Finally, Matsumura decides to stop fighting and makes friends with Chinto…they both feel like winners. ‘Follow the Way’ is a song that brings forth the message of the old karate masters of Okinawa, insisting that violence is not a solution and encouraging each individual to cherish humility and virtue.

I hope you will like our song as much as we have enjoyed doing it and going round the island of Malta to capture our best picturesque sceneries and places.

Finland - Seikkaillaan! (Let's go on an adventure!)

This is the video from Finland!

We are taking you on a tour around Mäntsälä, which is a small town in Southern Finland. We have many villages here and almost all of them have their own primary school.
The song is about having an adventure, loving your home town, but also visiting places outside of it.
The video was made at Riihenmäki school mostly by our 4th graders. It was filmed and edited by our Scottish student teacher, so this was a true form of co-operation between European countries!

Since the beginning of this school year my students and I have made a long path of reflection about Nature and how Humans affect on it.
We investigated Natural disasters and the one caused by human, and we discover that we need to change our habits and our way of living if we want to have a future. We also worked on Agenda 2030 and the global goals so now we are a bit more aware and what we say in the song is what we strongly believe. Enjoy it.

This year the colour green was dominant for our production. It is the power of green that will give you good vision and hearing and turn you into a being with superpowers as it is suggested in our Russian lyrics. Our Tatar "parents" suggest to "eat your vegetables to grow big and strong". Who hasn't experienced all the recommendations about diet, good behaviour and having the correct priorities? Broccoli symbolises all of this as it is understandably a healthy thing to eat ... still many children simply don't like it.
